Tapestry International 2018 Celebration Concert — Elektra Women’s Choir @ Christ Church Cathedral

Every three years, Elektra Women’s Choir invites three choirs to Vancouver for four days to collaborate, inspire each other, and share their music. Tapestry International Celebration of Women’s Choirs 2018 features choirs from around the globe who will travel to Vancouver to join Elektra in this celebration of women’s choirs. Come experience the richness and diversity of 21st-century women’s choral singing. This is the festival’s grand finale, featuring each choir in solo repertoire and an electric performance by over 120 voices including Elektra’s Mira Youth Mentorship singers.

Elektra is thrilled to welcome choirs from Iceland (Kvennakór Garðabæjar), Japan (Frisches Ei), and Los Angeles (VOX Femina) to its triennial Tapestry International Celebration of Women’s Choirs. Each ensemble’s unique voice will be heard in a free concert called Choral Threads on May 4 and a ticketed Celebration Concert in downtown Vancouver on May 5 that includes over 100 voices together.
